Paramus Rescue Squad operates a converted military generator set for numerous types of calls in the Borough of Paramus. We have found this equipment useful at fire scenes and arson investigations, motor vehicle accident investigation, and lighting details. The versatility of this type of equipment is that it is self-supporting, can be moved easily, and does not require manpower to monitor once set up.

This unit has two (2) 5 kW diesel generators and a commercial grade light tower with four (4) one million candlepower lights. The light tower is raised into position by manually operated winches, and can be moved by any vehicle with a pindle hook set up.

Paramus Rescue offers this unit to Central Bergen Mutual Aid, and would like other towns within Bergen County to know of its availability.

Unit can be requested thru Paramus Police Dispatch for emergency calls. Upon request, Paramus Rescue will bring the light tower to the scene, and arrangements can be made at that time with the incident commander to return unit to Paramus or have the unit retrieved after the incident is over. CONFINED SPACE /COLAPSED STRUCTURE / SPECIAL OPERATIONS TRAILER
1996 Wells Cargo 20’ Utility Trailer. 

Outfitted as a completely self-sufficient special operations unit, this trailer is fully equipped to properly handle Confined Space, Trench Rescue and Collapse Emergencies. Equipment on-board includes: a 5 kW generator, portable trash pump, AIR-SHORE struts and 16 ply trench boards, Escape-Pac breathing apparatus with a 2 hour Aircart, OSHA confined space tripod and harnesses, Slice Pack Oxy-Acetylene cutting torch, lighting, power saws and tools.

EMERGENCY POWER & LIGHTING TRAILER
Military Style Power Trailer

Equipped with (2) 5 kW diesel generators and a 30-foot tower with 4000 Watts of metal halide lighting, providing over 4 million-candle power.  Acquired as military surplus, members refurbished the trailer and upgraded the electric system, including distribution panels and power reels.

MASS CASUALTY &  SUPPORT TRAILER
12 foot Utility Trailer

Contains First Aid and Triage supplies. It also carries our stock pile of lumber and shoring.
