The Paramus Rescue Squad opens its garage doors on Halloween for the benefit of the children of Paramus. The Paramus Volunteer Rescue Squad spends a number of weeks preparing to host a special "Safe Halloween" event for the children of Paramus on October 31. Numerous local businesses have donated products such as McDonalds of Route 17, BJ's Wholesale Club, Greenland Nursery, Metropolitian Plant Exchange, Starbucks and numerous others. For a complete list see slide show below. This ensures a fun time for the children of Paramus, while maintaining a low cost to our volunteer organization and a free event for the residents of Paramus.

The night was a HUGH SUCCESS.

It was by far the largest attended event to date, the most food was dispersed, the most gives were raffled and the most adults and children took part in CLUB RESCUE

We do this for one reason and for one reason only, and that is to provide the children of Paramus a safe place to celebrate Halloween. This started in 2001 due to the events of 9-11. The threat has probably lessened from that day a month and a half after 9-11, but the idea of safety has not declined. Between Rescue and the 2 Fire Companies, we did just that, we provided a safe place to party. Combined we probably had attendance of over 1200 people, which is totally amazing.

Rescue is ALL about saving life’s and making a difference. When you look at all the smiling faces and the parents thank you and tell you they will be back next year, rest assured we made a Difference
